BUILD OPTIONS

Once your kit has been ordered, the only thing that remains to be sourced is a donor car. All of the parts required for the complete MURTAYA build are either available to purchase from us, or are sourced straight from a single donor car – the classic shape Subaru Impreza (1993-1999) or the New age gen2 (2000-2004). Choosing your donor vehicle should be a carefully planned and thought out process. Although Subaru Impreza’s are widely available there are a huge number of different models and specifications and while they could all potentially be used as a donor car some will be more suitable than others.

If you have ordered a MURTAYA RALLY it may be that purchasing a rally specification Subaru Impreza will be most suitable, as many of the useful parts will already be upgraded to aftermarket performance parts. However, if you purchase a ROADSTER kit and are planning to use it purely for road use then a factory WRX or STi model will provide you with an exciting package, resulting in a MURTAYA with blistering speed and breathtaking handling capabilities. The cost for this package will be kept to a minimum since imported STi and WRX models are available, complete with MOT, from around £2,000. The range of Subaru Impreza models is so vast that you are guaranteed to find the perfect donor car for your project: whether it’s as it came from the factory, has more aftermarket parts than standard, or is a crash damaged road or rally car. Our experienced and knowledgeable team are always available to help with information and advice on choosing the perfect donor.

When your kit arrives it soon becomes clear that our dedicated design team have created the perfect home build kit.

Open the build manual and you will find every step of the build process carefully detailed. Inspect your body shell and you will find it has been drilled in factory, meaning the usually daunting task of ensuring the suspension systems and drive train are correctly placed and fitted has already been done for you, eliminating the risk of getting the geometry of your car wrong. In addition, the use of the donor car has been made as simple as possible. This includes ensuring that nearly all of the used parts from the donor car can be removed, refurbished where necessary, and refitted straight back onto the new body shell, with no modifications needed. The few modifications that are needed to the donor part can be supplied on an exchange bases. Even the existing wiring loom can be utilised with a few additions supplied with your purchased kit.

While the MURTAYA is a cleverly designed kit, it is inevitable that even the most experienced car builder may encounter some problems along the way. If this becomes the case, our experienced team are always on hand to offer help and advice. If you find a problem, chances are we have encountered it and can provide you with a simple solution.

Once you reach the momentous occasion when you finish your dream car, we can offer a complete IVA service. Simply drop the completed car into our factory and we will complete the work required to gain your IVA certificate at a competitive rate.
