At MURTAYA Sports Cars Limited, we have developed a monocoque and suspension package that harnesses the awesome potential of the Impreza and transplanted it into a machine which will excite even the most capable of drivers.
At a time when road and motorsport design is so rapidly evolving and progressing it was crucial that the MURTAYA incorporated the latest design and most advanced technology. This was successfully achieved by a design team which included a selection of leading engineers from the automotive industry.
The impressive commitment to core design is evident throughout all aspects of the car. The MURTAYA instantly demonstrates striking appeal with its subtle curves, powerful angles, and an image which screams both style and performance.
As you take a deeper look into the car, the design achievements remain as evident as ever. The car incorporates a number of groundbreaking innovative design features. This includes the advanced composite monocoque body shell, which allows the car to be astonishingly lightweight, yet strong enough to handle anything motorsport can throw at it ... and more. To match this, a space frame was carefully designed to house the powerful Subaru engine and front suspension. It attaches to the monocoque using a multi point system, and the stress which is associated with the front running gear of the car is carefully distributed back through the car in a manner which precisely controls where the load is dissipated. The rear suspension, drive train and gearbox all mount directly to the shell, without the need for any space frame metal structures, ensuring the car remains as lightweight as possible.
The design work continues into the incorporation of the extensive list of parts used from the Subaru donor car. Nearly all the parts used are largely unaltered, allowing for not only a simple build, but also the opportunity to interchange and upgrade parts as and when you feel the need.
CAD modelling and analysis were heavily involved in order to prove the design predictions and calculations, and to ensure the almighty task of designing a car from scratch was as accurate and precise as possible.
The result of hours of design work that have gone into this mind blowing creation is a platform which satisfies all the requirements for both the dynamic performance and the comfort of the car. The stiffness of the monocoque ensures that all the independent systems within the car are working to their full potential, while the traditional layout ensures that the car is both comfortable and practical.
